We are in a WAR!!!

Amazing isn’t it… What? You might ask!

The unconditional love of the Lord J He is so awesome and amazing that I get all choked up just thinking about it… J His BEAUTY is none like any other!!!

As I was dealing with some things and whining and crying about my situation someone told me take my eyes off of myself and start praying for them instead… (MammaJ) and it got me thinking! She was so right and I hated it… But truth be told, we do need to take our eyes off of ourselves and our circumstances and keep them focused on the Lord.
So in doing so I came across this scripture and boy was I fired up… I also heard a song from Rita Spring that really got me fired up within my spirit. Can’t really remember the name of the song but some of the verses were saying how “I was made for war” I’m a solder; I was made for this battle.

Then I came upon this scripture Deuteronomy 20:1-4
“When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people and shall say to the, Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them, for the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.

Did you hear that?? “FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS HE WHO GOES WITH YOU TO FIGHT FOR YOU AGAINST YOUR ENEMIES, TO GIVE YOU THE VICTORY”!!!!

Ah, dah, hello, he goes before me, preparing the way fighting my battles for me. The enemy has ALREADY been defeated!!!! HALLELUJAH It reminds me of the song that goes the enemy has been defeated death couldn’t hold HIM down, I’m ganna lift my voice in victory I’m going to sing my praises loud…

That’s why it is so important to do what Ephesians 6 says about putting on the Whole ARMOR of God… it is important that we do it EVERYDAY! We are in WAR people and it’s about time we get guarded up and fight for the TRUTH. How can we go out into battle and not be prepared? No wonder we have fallen Christians, whining and complaining and telling the Lord it’s just too hard to stand and fight. Well, we are not putting the armor on now are we??

Mmm…. People, people, people, we will be much better soldiers if we are properly prepared for battle. Jesus is raising us up to a higher level, a higher calling in Him. It’s about time we get out of the boat (like Peter) and get out of our comfort zones… My question to you is - are you willing to do it?!?!?!?
